This is my favorite piece. I cannot believe something that took so much time and amounted in much frustration would turn out so well. Man, this pot pissed me off! It took so long to finish and there were so many details and steps to finish it. But alas, it was so worth it! My feelings of hatred toward this pot have been validated and have morphed into something really great.
DISCLAIMER: Contradicting my feelings from the last post, I will be doing something similar again. The contrast created by the sgraffito technique as well as the black and white glazes is striking. Using glaze instead of underglaze was a challenge, but it was a change, and I appreciate the difference.
So, sorry sorry, little pot, for being angry at you. I guess you're not so bad after all. :)
