I've been busy throwing down the last two weeks! This is the result! There is a good selection to chose from and I've already starting glazing two of the forms. With my forms, I'm aiming to refine my technique and get more height as well as thinner walls, while also representing society in some way. For this round, I'm focusing on the simple, black and white structure of society. A form that the individual can conform to or rebel against.
First Piece in the Works
People conform to society. In this piece, the lines hug and melt into the pot, submitting to the curves of the form. The individual is conforming to society, turning in a repetitive motion that is mundane and hypnotic. The lines are dependent on the form as the individual is dependent on society. People believe what society tells them and just go with it.
